In the end, it wasn't the close game everyone wanted it to be. But for the Alabama Crimson Tide, it was historic.

It was a magical season for Notre Dame, who reignited the nation's love for the Fighting Irish. Ultimately, though, the SEC representative, once again, emerged victorious for the BCS championship. This is the third time the Crimson Tide have won the coveted trophy and is the seventh straight time an SEC team has won the title game - two truly incredible statistics.
