Columbine lacrosse team visits Newtown in touching gesture

The city of Columbine (Co.) is no stranger to tragedy. So when Matt Plitnick, the Columbine High School lacrosse coach, decided to visit Newtown High (Ct.), he wanted to offer up support for a town that endured a very similar traumatic experience. Coach Plitnick feels the after-effects of the tragedy that occurred in Columbine in 1999 are still present within the town. It's something that they surely have not forgotten, nor will they ever forget. Understanding that Newtown faced similar circumstances just four months ago, Plitnick felt it was necessary to visit and come together, not as lacrosse players, but as human beings. They both certainly share a common bond now. What a great gesture.
