N.C. high school quarterback breaks single game record for throwing yards

[caption id="attachment_511" align="alignright" width="312" caption="Photo Courtesy of 247 Sports"][/caption] Davidson Day High School (N.C.) quarterback Will Grier has a lot to be proud of. Last Friday night, Grier threw for 837 yards in a 104-80 slugfest against Harrells Christian Academy, shattering the previous record of 764 yards thrown by Pacific Palisades (Calif.) quarterback David Koral set 12 years ago. Even before setting this record, Grier had been scouted by several top-tier colleges. It's pretty safe to say this game has solidified Grier's chances of attending a top-notch college. Notes: This was the highest scoring high school football game in North Carolina's history.
