Fairfax High School (Va.) honored their student manager, Drew Bonner, who had developed muscular dystrophy at the age of 11, by giving him a varsity at-bat in the team's game against Fairfax Madison High School.
In a touching gesture, the opposing team surrounded Bonner as he reached first base to congratulate him.
Bonner has not let his disability stop him in everyday life, either. According to the Washington Post, he has been the student manager for three different Fairfax varsity sports teams, was part of the school's homecoming court, and has a scholarship to study computer science at the University of Virginia.
Great job, Drew. You are an inspiration to us all! Similar/Read More
