Senior soccer players in Washington County, MD, finished off their season with an event to help out those less fortunate.
In just its third year, the "Kick'n It For A Cause" event generated over $1,300 toward the Shirley B. Robison Memorial Fund, a fund that helps cancer patients and families of cancer patients. The game between Clear Spring High School and Boonsboro High School symbolized a day in which members of the Washington County community came together to root for an initiative that aims to defeat such an awful disease.
The creators of "Kick'n It For A Cause" plan on continuing the tradition for years to come. All of those involved should be commended for raising awareness.
